The windowframe pushed

the light

onto your words

so I listened to them.

Pinning up

yellow caution tape

burning up my file cabinet,

leaving me with a Hello Kitty notepad

and a foreboding.

Eventually I measured

teaspoons and half-cups of ink

swallowed them

held it in

only for it to seep into my blood

until I spit it out jet-blue

so it dribbles out of my mouth

onto my pillow

and stains.

You told me to talk about when I feel most vulnerable

so I clawed my way into my eye sockets

and searched

for a tear duct

only to stretch my skin

into a wound

to pull out

a half-decayed rabbit skeleton

before leaving it

steaming

sullied

and weak.
