anyone is welcome to join periphery. we strive for diversity, so those of any background are welcome to apply to our team or submit their work. we have staff located in new york, los angeles, toronto, london, and other cities across the world — all coming from various backgrounds, ages, education levels, and identities. we consider applicants regardless of age, sex, race, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, education, disability, national origin, languages spoken, culture, ethnicity, religion, or belief.

any income we receive goes directly towards administrative efforts — such as paying for our domain and up-keeping of our website — or towards the funding of our print issues — such as the printing, distributing, shipping, and packaging of each issue sold. no staff member receives any stipend for their work, including executive and senior staff members. all funds impact current and future periphery endeavors!

thank you for your interest in periphery. we are always accepting new submissions and applications, and individuals who have sent us material via google form will be contacted as demand for articles and staff members open. response times will vary depending on demand, though most inquiries are answered within a week of submission. please contact us at theperipheryzine@gmail.com for more information!

we would love to promote your work! our media section serves as a platform for artists of different mediums to display their work. we do not accept payments for promotions at this time. though we are externally grateful for any funding we receive, donations will not be a factor in deciding whether or not submitted work is published. we like to create mutually beneficial relationships with our collaborators, so we ask that you promote your periphery feature — it’s a win-win! :)
