Anonymous Violence

Anonymity cradled me last night

Held me.

My bones rattled the earth’s core

I walked around the invisible world drinking parts if its blood

The lamentations began

Instrusive moments laid bare

I watched you hold her in a moment of anguish

Her violent tears scraping the cement

The Mother understood you, hollowed out to keep you warm

Did you thank her?

The world is a scary place

I never wanted to walk alone

Alas, I am here, I am here

Slowly, it grazes me

I kneel for comfort

Still walking alone

I beg for a companion
