Oscar Hernandez

Staff Writer

Oscar Hernandez is a third-generation Latin American writer with a passion for expressing the difficulty in navigating the exclusivity between identities. Oscar is currently working at Periphery Magazine as a Staff Writer, Ramapo College as a Writing Tutor, as well as at AM/PM Urgent Care as a Medical Scribe. In May of 2025, he hopes to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing and a Minor in Biology. Oscar knows that the human experience is far more than the individual categories thrust upon us, and he wishes to provide a voice for all of those who become alienated from this arbitrative process. Based in the Bergen County area, you’ll find Oscar playing with his two dogs Daisy and Olive, working on his fantasy novel Freed’s Ruin, or rewatching TV shows from his childhood with his little sister.
