Anya Shankar

Ananya Shankar (who goes by Anya, nunyums and also "insufferagirl") is a neuroscientist, but has always been a writer. She holds a masters in neuropsychiatry from King’s College London, and spends her free time savouring a cup of rose tea. She loves writing of colours and layers - be it in jokes, clothes, or symbolism. 

She left her job as a research scientist to write full-time about her reflections on mundanity. She sketches, dances, sings, writes, skates and as you may have guessed, loves making tea. She knows (perhaps a little too much) about existential Russian authors and you can find her yearning by her windowsill. You can find her scribbles and notes on substack, under "Nunyums' Letters."
